Shopify App · For Custom Fabric Sellers
They see the repeat
before you print the
yardage
Fabric Lens lets customers upload a design and preview it repeated across real fabric on your Shopify product page — straight, half-drop, or mirror — so the pattern they approve is the pattern you print.
Live pattern preview on fabric — straight, half-drop & mirror repeats
Customers approve the exact repeat before checkout
Print-ready pattern file with every order
Installs from the Shopify App Store, works with your theme
How Fabric Lens works
The repeat is where custom fabric orders go wrong. Fix it before the ink touches the
fabric.
1
Customer uploads a design
A motif, artwork, or photo — straight onto your product page, no design software needed.
2
They preview the repeat on fabric
Straight, half-drop, and mirror repeats rendered live across the fabric — scale and arrangement exactly as it will print.
3
You print approved yardage
The order arrives with a print-ready pattern file of the exact repeat the customer approved. No proofs, no surprises, no wasted yardage.
Built for the realities of printed fabric
Three repeat modes
Straight, half-drop, and mirror — the repeats professional textile printing actually uses, previewed live.
True-to-print preview
The pattern renders on fabric at real scale — what the customer sees is what comes off the printer.
Pre-checkout approval
The approval step moves from your inbox to the product page — before payment, not after printing.
Print-ready pattern files
Every order includes the tiled pattern file, ready for your digital textile workflow.
Your fabrics, your options
Configure the fabric types and repeat options you offer; the app enforces them.
Theme-friendly install
From the App Store to your product page in minutes — no developer required.
Who it's for
Custom fabric stores
Selling printed yardage
Every order is customer-approved before printing — the refund conversation disappears.
Digital textile printers
Taking orders online
Self-serve pattern setup replaces the email-a-file-and-wait workflow your competitors still run.
Surface designers & brands
Selling their own patterns
Designers preview and sell their collections as printed fabric without owning a single printer.
The economics of custom yardage
Printed fabric can't go back on the shelf. A wrong repeat isn't a return — it's a write-off.
That's the cost this app removes.
Without Fabric Lens
Customer emails a file and hopes the repeat looks right
You build proofs by hand for every order
Wrong repeat discovered on delivered yardage = write-off
Repeat questions clog your inbox daily
With Fabric Lens
Customer sees and approves the exact repeat pre-checkout
Proofing happens on the product page, automatically
You only ever print approved patterns
The preview answers the questions before they're asked
Fabric Lens FAQs
What does Fabric Lens do on my Shopify store?
Customers upload their design on your product page and see it repeated across real fabric — as a straight, half-drop, or mirror repeat — before they order. You receive a print-ready pattern file with every order.
What is a half-drop repeat?
A half-drop repeat offsets each column of the pattern vertically by half the design's height, breaking up the grid effect of a straight repeat. It's the most common repeat in professional textile design — and the hardest for customers to imagine without a preview.
Why does the repeat preview matter for custom fabric?
Custom-printed yardage is effectively non-returnable — a repeat that looks wrong on delivered fabric is wasted material and a refund. Approving the exact repeat before printing removes the most expensive mistake in the business.
Do I need a developer to install it?
No. The app installs from the Shopify App Store and works with your existing theme. You configure the fabrics and repeat options you offer.
