Sheet Nesting / Auto-Nesting

Nesting (or auto-nesting) is algorithmically arranging multiple design shapes on a print sheet to minimize wasted space, similar to fitting puzzle pieces together. Gang sheet builders with good auto-nesting can fit meaningfully more designs per sheet than manual placement, directly reducing material cost.
