Rasterization (Rasterize Image)

Rasterization converts a vector graphic — built from mathematical paths — into a pixel-based (raster) image at a fixed resolution. Print files are ultimately rasterized before printing, and doing this at too low a resolution is a common cause of blurry or pixelated prints.
