RGB to CMYK Conversion

RGB to CMYK conversion translates a file's colors from the light-based model screens use (red, green, blue) to the ink-based model printers use (cyan, magenta, yellow, black), since the two systems can't reproduce identical color ranges. Because RGB has a wider color gamut, some bright colors — especially blues and greens — shift noticeably after conversion, which is why converting early in the design process avoids surprises.
